Bahá’í Music Store

Welcome home to the Bahá’í Music Store

It’s wonderful to have you here again.

For many years, the Bahá’í Music Store has been a place to find devotional songs, children’s music, audio books and the work of Bahá’í-inspired artists from around the world. So when the store went dark for a couple of months, we know many of you wondered what had happened.

Here is the honest answer. We were not hacked, your data is safe, and the store was never closing. The server that hosted us failed catastrophically and destroyed the website and all its files. Thankfully, the store’s databases, including your account, your order history and your past purchases, survived completely intact, and no personal information was ever exposed.

We have rebuilt the store on a brand-new, faster and more secure home, and it is so good to open the doors again. Thank you for waiting for us, and for every song, prayer and story you have shared with your families and communities through this store.

Can’t find something you bought before? Please reach out. Contact us with what you’re looking for, and we will get back to you as soon as we possibly can to make sure you have it.

With love and gratitude,

Jon

Shidan Toloui-Wallace

Shidan Toloui-Wallace is one of the most admired contemporary chanters in the Bahá'í world. Her reputation was established during the time she served at the Bahá'í World Centre in Haifa from 1991-1997. Shidan was regularly selected to chant on special occasions of many hundreds of Bahá'ís from all part of the world. The greatest honour among all other occasions for Shidan, was the invitation to chant at observances of Holy Days in the sacred grounds of the Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh.

It was in Haifa that, with the permission of the Universal House of Justice, Shidan recorded her first album with her dear friend and fellow Bahá'í World Centre staff member Taraneh Rafati, titled the "Call of Carmel". Accompanying them was Shidan's uncle , the late Masood Missaghian, on the santoor (a hammered dulcimer).

In 2012 Shidan decided to record her second album called "Phoenix of Love" which is produced by the American Bahá'í guitarist, producer and a dear friend, Mr. Louie Shelton. Shidan invited her daughter to collaborate with her on three tracks on this Album. The other highlight is the inclusion of some old recording of her late uncle Mr Masood Missaghian playing the santoor. While this album contains predominantly a style that reflects Shidan's heritage and experience in Persian song and tones, it also has a taste of the wonderful fusion of East and West so loved by those who appreciated music from all parts of the world. Shadi's soulful contribution is joined with Shidan's melodious tones in three tracks to bring you a taste of this melding of two cultures.
