It’s wonderful to have you here again.

For many years, the Bahá’í Music Store has been a place to find devotional songs, children’s music, audio books and the work of Bahá’í-inspired artists from around the world. So when the store went dark for a couple of months, we know many of you wondered what had happened.

Here is the honest answer. We were not hacked, your data is safe, and the store was never closing. The server that hosted us failed catastrophically and destroyed the website and all its files. Thankfully, the store’s databases, including your account, your order history and your past purchases, survived completely intact, and no personal information was ever exposed.

We have rebuilt the store on a brand-new, faster and more secure home, and it is so good to open the doors again. Thank you for waiting for us, and for every song, prayer and story you have shared with your families and communities through this store.

"Messages From The New World" is an album of original music performed by a stellar cast of musicians. The lyrics of the songs consist of excerpts from the Baha'i Writings or original words inspired by Baha'i themes. Musically "Messages" draws from the rich palette of classic jazz, including the New Orleans feel of "Collin's Gate Strut," Bossa Nova inspired songs such as "Many Notes Samba" and "Infinite Love," the funky, soulful sounds of classic Hard Bop on "Nightingale Wail," and much more.

Lukas Hein, the catalyst of the project, is a jazz saxophonist from the Pacific Northwest who has lived, performed and taught throughout the globe. Highlights of his musical life include earning a Master’s Degree from Western Oregon University, recording a Bossa Nova album in Rio de Janeiro with the outstanding Brazilian jazz trio "Dialeto Brasileiro," and teaching for several years in the Caribbean at the St Lucia School of Music.

"Messages" pairs the matchless beauty of the Baha'i Revelation with the eloquent musical language of jazz - an art form born of the synthesis of diverse musical cultures. It aspires to bring joy to the heart, inspire singing and dancing, and induce prayerful contemplation.
