Tommy Kavelin

Tommy Kavelin
Tommy Kavelin is a veteran artist who has pursued his multiple passions as an actor, playwright, vocalist and lyricist in both English and Spanish. He was lead vocalist and founder of the pop group Triple Amenaza (Triple Threat) which toured Venezuela, Colombia and the Lesser Antilles in the 70's, while Tommy pioneered to Venezuela. A pioneer to Puerto Rico since 1988, he has been featured in several Hollywood and made-for-TV movies filmed on location on the Island, a local television miniseries, over a dozen commercials, and countless stage dramas, comedies and musicals, including Turandot and the Spanish-language production of Cabaret. Since 2001 he has toured with The Voices of Bahá to Europe, India and the Caribbean, where he was a featured soloist, as well as in their concerts at Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry. He co-hosted Part III of the U.S. Bahá'í T.V. talk show series The Spiritual Revolution and hosted its Spanish version, Crece con Nosotros, as well as hosting a Puerto Rican live radio call-in show by the same name. The release of the album found Tommy performing in Santiago, Chile in the South American Temple Dedication and Gospel Choirs.

Tommy has performed in numerous Bahá'í concerts in the Americas and Europe, including the 2nd World Congress' Noche Latina, and has been a featured vocalist on several Bahá'í-inspired albums, including Happy Ayyám-i-Há, Mystic Gathering, The Voices of Bahá in Concert at Carnegie Hall, and Ora Tambó. Cantad, Oh Pueblos is Tommy's first full album, an ambitious and joyous fulfilment of what he calls "dreams deferred". He is delighted to join the bahaimusicstore family.
