Nancy Lee Harper

Nancy Lee Harper has been described as a “marvelous performing artist” and an “extraordinarily multi-talented American musician and scholar”. She has performed on four continents in 29 countries, occasionally giving world premieres of works composed for her either in live performances or on CD recordings. After an extensive career as a university professor in Portugal and a Bahá’í pioneer, Dr. Harper dedicates some of her time to presenting works by Bahá’í composers such as Lasse Thoresen, Malcolm Dedman, Gwendolyn Marie Watson, Navid Hejazi, and her son Eric Harper. For her, “Music is a ladder” for the soul “to ascend to the realm on high”.
