Matthew Levine

Matthew Levine is an award winning songwriter and composer whose music has won numerous songwriting awards, a first place award for his string quartet, 'The Prophet of Shiraz', and his choral music has been performed around the world. Matthew's cabaret songs have been performed in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and London and he has collaborated with Tony and Grammy award-winning writers. The musical he co-wrote with Richard Castle, 'The Angel of Painted Post', was selected by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell) to be showcased at the 2014 ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop at DreamWorks Animation Studios. His and Castle's new musical, 'Oklahoma in Wisconsin', is being developed by Northern Sky Theater and will hopefully debut in their 2017 summer season. Levine has a composition degree from the university of Houston. He currently lives in Los Angeles.
